PARISH OF ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST, FRUITVALE — The church of St. John the Evangelist in the village of Fruitvale, recently dedicated a new set of green vestments for Epiphany and Pentecost. Douglas Lewis, priest and Elizabeth Lewis, deacon, are shown wearing the clergy vestments at the altar. The whole set of green vestments dedicated on January 18 were made by Elizabeth. We thank her for the gift of her time and skill. Elizabeth has made several other vestments for clergy and altar.

SINGING SISTERS — Wearing new recyclable vestments, a group of local sisters entertain at the Ladies Dinner, All Saints, Kimberley.
By Elisabeth Forsyth
On Wednesday, January 28, sixty women, parishioners and guests, were welcomed to a potluck dinner for women only. Everyone really enjoyed a wide variety of dishes and of course there was too much to choose from, but everyone managed!
A group of local "sisters" entertained everyone (following a very dedicated amount of practice) with a great rendition of "Who Comes from God." Everyone was then invited to join in a singsong to wind up the evening. There were also five men invited to this event — they were coerced to work in the kitchen so the ladies had a free evening. It was wonderful and everyone had a great time.
